Citation of Customer

According to DTI (Department of Trade and Industry), every customers have 7 basic rights and 5 responsibilities. The 7 basic rights are:
• Rights to be informed
• Rights to be safe
• Rights to choose
• Rights to redress
• Rights to represent
• Rights to be educated
• Rights to have a healthy environment
While the 5 responsibilities are:
• Critical Awareness
• Own Action
• Social Concern
• Environmental Awareness
• Solidarity
The DTI through its Consumer Policy and Advocacy Bureau (CPAB) has advocacy initiatives and programs to strengthen consumer awareness on these rights and responsibilities and give access to information on various consumer-related laws.

Citation of Employees

According to DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment), these are the rights of every employees:
• Equal Work Opportunities for All
• Security of Tenure
• Work Days and Work Hours
• Wage and Wage-Related Benefits
• Weekly Rest Day
• Payment of Wages
• Female Employees
• Employment of Children
• Safe Working Condition
• Rights to Self-Organization and Collective Bargaining
The Bureau of Working Conditions, a staff department of the Department of Labor and Employment, compiled a list of Basic Rights that every worker is entitled to. These rights ensure the safety and health of all workers.

Rights of Employees

Some customers tend to belittle every employees. They are always pulling the "Customers are always right" card which is sometimes not applicable on the certain situation. They thought that it's a pass for them to degrade workers whenever the situation didn't turn out as they planned. Being able to know the rights of workers will be such a great help to deal with those arrogant and selfish customers. It would serve as their protection for the harsh words that the customers might say in their face. Every people have their own rights but it also has limitations and boundaries. Learn to be responsible on the things that you are doing to be able to have a good day.
